David Sin
David is currently managing his own real estate and investment firm, focused on investing in companies and assets in Singapore and Asia. Previously, he worked at AIG and Goldman Sachs in London and Hong Kong. He has worked across different continents and has also lived in UK, USA, Hong Kong for over a decade. His work experience includes mergers and acquisitions, private equity, real estate, distressed debt and special situations investing.
He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School (USA) and a Bachelor of Arts (Econs) in Accounting and Finance from Manchester University (UK). Prior to that, he graduated from Raffles Junior College and The Chinese High School in Singapore. He is passionate about social enterprise, education and entrepreneurial development.
David is currently the Course Instructor for the Entrepreneurial Leadership Programme (ELP) at Hwa Chong Institution. The ELP’s objective is to allow the students to learn about key leadership values through an innovative case study method; where students will learn through placing themselves in the position of the protagonists; and through experiential learning, discussion and reflection, draw their own lessons on becoming entrepreneurial leaders.
Tan Yinglan
Tan Yinglan is the Head (Projects), National Research Foundation, Prime Minister’s Office (Singapore). In his role, he oversees the National Framework for Innovation and Enterprise and is serving / has served on boards of high-tech growth ventures and venture capital funds in Asia. Tan Yinglan had previously been the first Director of 3i Venturelab China, a joint-venture between private equity firm 3i (LSE:III) and INSEAD, one of the world’s leading business schools. He had also been the Senior Assistant Director at the Ministry of Trade and Industry (Singapore), where he oversees the Economic Development Board Investments portfolio. Yinglan also worked at the World Bank, as a Milton and Cynthia Friedman Fellow. He has a website at www.tanyinglan.com
Low Chun Meng (刘俊铭)
An alumnus of Hwa Chong Institution, Chun Meng served as a teacher back in his alma mater from 2000 to 2003. He then served as a Curriculum Planning Officer at the Ministry of Education from 2004 to 2007 and as Vice Principal of National Junior College from 2008 to 2010. He was appointed Principal of Mansjuri Secondary School in 2011. Chun Meng also served as a member of the Chinese Language and Culture Fund from 2008.
Chun Meng was awarded the Public Service Commission Scholarship to read Chinese Studies and Chinese language at the National University of Singapore. He has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) at National Institute of Education and a Master of Education at University of Western Australia. In 2010, he was awarded the Ministry of Education Postgraduate Scholarship and the Singapore China Foundation Scholarship to read Master of Public Administration at Peking University.
俊铭是华侨中学校友,于2000年回到母校执了四年教鞭。他于2004年转调新加坡教育部课程规划与发展司担任华文课程规划员,负责规划和推展高中、中学及小学华文与文学课程。他于2008年出任国家初级学院副院长,并于同年起担任中华语言文化基金遴选小组组员。俊铭于2011年受委任为文殊中学校长。
俊铭曾获得公共服务委员会奖学金到新加坡国立大学修读汉学与汉语。他也考获新加坡国立教育学院教育研究生文凭(中学语文教育专业)及西澳大学教育硕士。他于2010年获得教育部研究生奖学金年及新中教育基金会奖学金,到北京大学修读公共管理硕士课程。
