As Hwa Chong celebrates its 93rd Anniversary on March 21st this year, the Hwa Chong Alumni Association Youth Chapter has put together a series of initiatives to engage the Hwa Chong family at www.hwachongyouth.org/web/hc93
You may choose to pen down your well wishes and dedications on our online guestbook or express your love for the school through both English and Chinese literary fashion in our “Envisioning Hwa Chong” and “愿景.华中” Literary Competitions. Photography enthusiasts can participate in our 3.21 SNAP Photography Contest and showcase the captured moments of our rich school life and Hwa Chong’s majestic landscape. This year, we have added an “Envisioning Hwa Chong” video competition for video enthusiasts.
Join me in celebrating the remarkable achievements of this world-class institution par excellence and indulge in the revelry as we reminisce the beautiful memories we have had in Hwa Chong. May the Hwa Chong Spirit stay strong and ablaze for the many years to come!

The 4th edition of Past vs Present Sports Carnival by Hwa Chong Alumni Association Youth Chapter was held on 10 September at Hwa Chong Institution. Alumni and current students gathered for a day of fun and games before attending the annual Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration in the night.
A record number of 350 old boys and girls participated in this event. Participants chose to take part in any of the seven games – Ultimate Frisbee, Floorball, Captain’s Ball, Street Soccer, Volleyball , Basketball and Badminton.
The event seeks to be a gathering for alumni members to catch up with one another through sports and games. Alumni from different batches formed teams to compete against one another.

Lihui founded Thirtythree Private Limited at the age of 27 in 2009, aiming to be the leader in brand and franchise management. Her first foray is bringing in Marble Slab Creamery, a renowned American Ice Cream Franchise to Singapore. The first flagship creamery in Asia opened to resounding success in Singapore in July 2009. Thirtythree also manages MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream and Treatery, another ice cream franchise with a youthful appeal from the US.
Mr Soon Qi Shan

Qishan was part of class 03S22 during his stay in Hwa Chong Junior College. The S2 faculty read C Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics and Physics, but was closed after the class graduated in 2004, due to a lack of students. Qishan participated in Air Rifle and Chess & Bridge in his student years and was appointed Quartermaster for both clubs. He also won a little known intra-school Scrabble competition organized by the school’s library in 2004. The victory may not be CV worthy but it continues to make him warm and fuzzy inside.
